The Wonderful Web 2.0!
The thing that I enjoy about this class is that it is supplying us with tools for our teacher toolboxes. The tools will help keep our lessons fresh and engaging for our students. Not only that but using these types of technology in the classroom expose our students to tools that they can use for themselves outside of the classroom. I consider my self in the average catagory when it comes to technology. But, the amazing thing about Web 2.0 is its enormous capabilities, that it is hard to keep up with its fast pace. I have never heard of Social Bookmarking or Voice threads before this week. I have to say that they are both really interesting. They hold alot of potential for learning in the classroom. I think that it is wonderful that our society is using technology more socially. It keeps things personal and fresh. Being able to connect with people and mutually share information the idea in itself is amazing.

I REALY DONT KNOW ABOUT THIS WEB 2.0. I DONT THINK ITS GOING BE SOMETHING BIG IN THE FUTURE BUT OTHER HAND IT MIGHT BE BECAUSE OF THE SOCIAL NETWORKING
ReplyDeleteI did not have much knowledge behind the web 2.0 apps before this assignment as well. I agree with you, because these types of applications and tools can really help out the students as well as teachers. All the technology capabilities keeps the students more engaged, as compared to old fashioned print outs and overhead sheets.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you that this class is equipping us for the future, we are getting caught up with all the latest technology. What I love is that once our time is up with our students in our daily classes, we can continue engaging their minds with websites like wiki spaces and many others. This will help the student be ready for later class lectures.
ReplyDeleteI had not heard of voice threads and social bookmarking. A lot of things went through my mind for the voice threads like the way children were speaking about the iconic figures. I can get my future students to do that also. Let us take advantage of all these opportunities.
